Just an Update!

Hello dearest friends and valued customers!
Pictures of my creative designs!!
Haven't been able to update my blog yet due to work and family commitments. Been very busy also clearing all backlog orders and trying to create new designs. A good friend of mine wanted me to make her an anklet. She's my very first customer to request for an anklet! Wow! Good idea, too. At least I can add more things for my costume jewellery designs other than the usual necklace, bracelet and brooches. Going to start on making anklet projects very soon! Once it's ready, I will upload the photos on my blog.

I am also working out on streamlining my blog, to make it more neater and better. Not only for your reading pleasure for information but also to entice you further to buy my collection of costume jewellery designs.

Four months ago, I knew nothing about making my own costume jewelleries. When I told my hubby that I wanted to enrol for a creative jewellery making class, he was hesitant and thought that I wasn't creative to be a costume jewellery designer! I was not a fashionable person, how to be a creative designer?? I was quite sad, actually. Deep inside me, I knew I have at least a streak of creativeness in me and I knew that if I were to do my own piece of jewellery, surely my designs could be considered as creative and pretty not to everybody, but to the person who values the designs and appreciates as what it really is.

Tanja, my creative jewellery instructor, always says that if you like the designs that you have made and created, everybody will surely like them. But if you are not happy and do not like your designs, nobody will also. Those really are motivating words for me and since then, I have persevered and have made numerous designs which I love every one of them! Deep inside me, I wanted to prove my hubby wrong! Indeed, I can do it! With strong faith, I just do it and everything just fall into place...Sold many of my designs and still in biz!!

What I have learnt is 'beauty is in the eyes of the beholder'. My designs may not be attractive to some people, but others may find mine simple yet beautiful. Don't you think so? See pictures above.

Thanks a Zillion!

I am happy with the constructive comments and feedback from my fellow friends and cousins. Certainly they have made me be more aware of what and how to customize my blog into something that can benefit the readers, and not forgetting on how to strike a deal on my sales of my handmade costume jewelleries.

Well, I think my blog has some limitations, especially on details like the product description, the specific name for the product created, shipping fees and payment mode. My initial plan was to use this blog to showcase my created designs, at the same time invite potential customers to view and order my designs through email, where all details regarding payment mode, shipping charges and other details will be given on the email. As I have been making sales offline, which is more direct and personal, I feel making sales online through my blog is definitely new to me and with those feedback given to me through email, I definitely will streamline my blog, enhance it, so that more visitors and potential customers will want to visit my blog regularly.

So to all my cyber friends, young and old, I'd love to hear from you real soon and keep those orders coming in, yah!

Warmest regards with much love....NikishLia

Wire-sculpting Brooches

Buttons we see them on our shirts and blouses. But now, buttons become fanciful when we do some wire-sculpting on them, and we make them into beautiful brooch. Even button-shaped shell from mother of pearl, we can wire-wrapped them and voila, what a nice creation of brooch they transformed into.
Would like to have them for your own private collection? Drop me an email and I will get back to you in no time. Happy to be of service to you!

Latest Designs

My latest designs of necklace with matching bracelets sold at S$45 to my beloved sis-in-law. Made with gold-plated oval chain, lampwork beads, Czech glass beads, Swarovski Crystals and also shells. It's a long necklace about 42 inch. The bracelet is 8 inch in size. Interested to own one? Feel free to email me, and I will provide you with all the necessary details on payment and shipment.

Pretty Charming Beads Bracelets

Eversince I got hooked on jewellery-making, and attended a number of basic courses at Justanja (Bead Hub), and also the gems seminars, I discovered the beauty of the semi-precious gem stones, like amethyst, rhodonite, rose quartz, hematite, aquamarine, jasper, aventurine, citrine and many more which I have never come across before. These natural stones are indeed very beautiful, and it is believed that these stones have natural healing powers and can even be a source of health for us! And when incorporated into jewellery-making, it can cost thousands of dollars!

Indeed, with costume jewellery and accessories, we can still own a piece of these semi-precious stones by incorporating it into our own handcrafted costume jewellery designs.....Just like what I have done! All have been sold out!

Fancy Safety Pin Brooches

Didn't think I could make some creative work on safety pins. When we think of safety pins, what comes into our mind? Baby's 'lampin'...ooops...cloth diaper. Long time ago, during our mothers' time, there was no Drypers, or Huggies or PetPet...just cloth diapers and they used safety pins to fasten the diapers so that it won't get loose. But now with so many brands of diapers, no more cloth diapers in sight, no need to do any more washing. Just use the disposable diapers! Easy and handy! And that's the reason I think we have so many safety pins at our disposable, and being creative, we use these safety pins as fanciful brooches. Good idea, eh!

So check it out....my very own designs using baby's safety pins!!! If you like them, feel free to order them from me. You can email me at nikishlia@gmail.com and let me have them custom-made for you. But of course, the item will be delivered to you after payment has been made through direct transfer to my bank account.

Here's my designs....Enjoy!

Lampwork Beads Necklace

Very charming, beautiful beads. Nice necklace using lampwork beads will look charming on you!

Fun Beads

Lampwork beads, Czech beads, all kinds of beads, you will love them when you get hooked on making your own costume jewellery. I started doing my own costume jewellery designs after enrolling in the basic jewellery making course in March 2007 and I've been so passionate about all the beads that I came across, especially when I went to Chinatown to look for unique and colourful glass beads, and also swarovski crystals, I began to incorporate them into my designs in necklace, bracelets, rings, earrings and safety pin brooches. Simple, yet unique designs!!

Here's some of my designs....which I called Fun Bead Rings...
